A Little Bit About Body Science
Body Science was purchased from the previous owner in August of 2023. Since then, I have been working on revamping the store, the products, and adding to what we have available. The goal of the store is to provide all-natural and handmade products at a price that makes it available to everyone, without sacrificing quality. The majority of the products are safe for those who have sensitive, problematic skin. As the owner and maker of the products, I test all products on myself before making them available...having sensitive skin, if anything bothers my skin I will not put it on the shelf. Many of the new products come in an Unscented/Fragrance Free option, due to many people having sensitivities to smells...while always being open to new scent combinations suggested by customers. At the end of the day, the customer being satisfied is the main goal.
About the Owner
After moving to Owen Sound in 2022 from the Tillsonburg area, I started working at a new store downtown...which closed by the end of December of 2022. Not knowing what to do afterwards, I decided to focus on my love of creating things...specifically polymer clay jewelry and epoxy resin creations. The original owner of Body Science had met me and seen my work while I was still working at a store just a few doors over, and offered me space to display my creations...thus, Lunaerys Creations was born. With lots of support from the new community I had become a part of, I spent the summer of 2023 doing vendor markets and getting my name out there as much as possible. By the end of that summer, I had been helping with making products at Body Science...which led to the eventual taking over and purchasing of the store, merging my old and new business together. Since then, I've done an insane amount of research on ingredients and recipes to add to my knowledge of natural products. which I had some background in already. I love what I do, and I love meeting all the potential customers/friends that walk in the door. For being 33 and new to the area, I am so thankful to everyone who has been supportive of my adventure and endeavors since I moved here. - Tasha @ Body Science
